- Secure your hair into a high ponytail with an elastic.
- Frame your face by pulling two thin sections of hair out of the ponytail on each side.
- Lift the ponytail upwards and clip it to your head about an inch above the elastic, letting the rest of the ponytail hang down over the clip.
Side Pony
- If you have straight hair, use a medium barrel curling iron to create waves.
- Create a deep side part.
- Pull your hair into a low, side ponytail at the base of your neck on the side opposite your part and secure it with an elastic.
- Wrap a small piece of the ponytail around the elastic to cover it, securing the ends of the piece underneath the ponytail with two bobby pins.
Springy Curls
- Create a deep side part on the left side of your head.
- Take a section of hair above your ear from the left side of your head and pull it to the center of the back of your head.
- Secure it there with bobby pins.
- Take an equal amount of hair from the right side of your head and bring it to the back of your head.
- Using bobby pins, secure that section over the pinned left section.
- If you have straight hair, use a medium-barrel curling iron to curl the ends of your hair, then use a hairspray or mousse to set.
Modern Pouf
- If you have wavy or curly hair, blow-dry your hair straight, then use a flat-iron to smooth it.
- Create a side part.
- Pull back a small section of your hair from both the left and right sides of the part and gather them together at the back of your head.
- Secure the half-ponytail with an elastic.
- Gently pull the hair at the crown of your head upwards to create a poufy effect.
